Process Safety Solutions are currently validating a major OT network upgrade for three Oil and Gas Platforms

The upgrade provides segregated virtual networks for the platforms interconnected DCS, ESD, F&G and Electrical Control Systems.

The upgrade replaces obsolete hardware with the latest networking technology from Allied Telesis including Media Convertors and Layer 3 Switches.

The upgrade was sanctioned following a Obsolescence Study completed by Process Safety Solutions, ensuring continued reliably and availability for the OT network through to the end of the platforms life.

The new equipment allows for system hardening in line with IEC 62443, providing enhanced cyber security including VLAN segregation and port blocking.
